Secure remote connections allow us to offer service to customers much faster than the traditional service call or the customer bringing their equipment to our repair shop.

Data Destruction and Data Risk Management

Digital Friends have solutions that will fit your organization’s requirements for data cleansing for your end-of-life data storage. While our preference is to extend the life and usefulness of all equipment through re-use where possible, we also understand that security of data is extremely important and cannot be compromised. At a minimum, storage devices are erased to Department of Defence standards which means that media is erased and rewritten with random data a full 7 times. If media cannot be erased to the above standard, then it is rendered permanently unusable through mechanical means. For those organizations that require documentation, we offer the following options: We can provide documentation stating that specific serial numbered drives have been erased. We can provide certification from the software used to securely wipe the media that lists the drive manufacturer, model number, serial number, firmware number, erase standard utilized for the wipe, and a date/time stamp when the erase completed. We can also provide certification of destruction.
